Following the ending of the statutory consultation on the proposals for the school on Monday 16th February 2015, the Trust would like to provide further opportunities for stakeholders to provide comments on the concept of using London House as the permanent site for Deer Park School using the comments box below. We are particularly interested in feedback on the impact of the building on the environment and surrounding areas, rather than the design of the building, as this will be covered by the planning consultations. Following this consultation, we will produce a summary of the comments received and our response. These comments will be used to help develop our plans and thoughts surrounding the use of the site.
As part of the planning application process, the Trust will undertake an informal consultation on the proposed plans prior to submitting the planning application. After the planning application has been submitted, the Local Authority will also seek comments on the proposal. These consultations will commence once the Trust has agreed the initial plans for the school and these will be run as a separate, independent process.
Consultation events will take place on Friday 20th March 2015, from 1.00pm – 3.00pm and from 6.00pm – 7.30pm at The New Pavilion, Dancer Road, Richmond, TW9 4LB. The earlier event will be chaired by local MP Zac Goldsmith. This is an opportunity for members of the local community to meet representatives from the Trust and the Local Authority to discuss the proposed school site.
The Trust is committed to working with all parties to ensure Deer Park School fits the needs of the local community it serves. We will seek to take on board any suggestions and address any concerns when designing the school building and how the school will operate.
The closing date for additional comments is 20th March 2015.
